On Wednesday, there will be a Parent Portal Workshop presented by the Parent Engagement Unit at 9:00 am. Meeting ID: 913 3192 9643
On Thursday, we will be holding our English Learner Advisory Council meeting at 10:00 am. https://lausd.zoom.us/j/84348587158 Friends of Saturn will be hosting a cooking class from 5:00-7:00 pm on Zoom.

5th grade parents, it is time to apply to middle schools. The eChoices window is now open October 1st through November 12th. Don't forget to apply to your middle school magnet of choice.

Good evening Saturn Families!
We have a lot happening at Saturn this week.
We will be holding our School Site Council Meeting at 4:00 pm on Tuesday. All are welcome to attend. https://lausd.zoom.us/j/84348587158
Wednesday morning, there will be a Coffee with the Principal meeting at 8:45 am. The meeting will be recorded if you are unable to attend. https://lausd.zoom.us/j/3648008882
On Thursday, our Friends of Saturn will be hosting a Latinx Music, Dance, and Game Night starting at 6:30 pm.
On Friday, we will be holding our culminating event for Latinx Heritage Month. Although families are not allowed on campus at this time, we do invite you to view the recorded performance at our Monday morning assembly on October 18th. More information to follow.
As a reminder, all students and staff are COVID tested each week on Tuesdays.
Parents, we would also like to ask families to refrain from picking up their students from school during the last 30 minutes of the day as this is a disruption to the class as the teacher must stop instruction for students to go home. Thank you!

El jueves, nuestros Amigos de Saturno presentarán una Noche de Música, Baile y Juegos Latinx a partir de las 6:30 pm.
El viernes, realizaremos nuestro evento culminante del Mes de la Herencia Latinx. Aunque las familias no están permitidas en el campus en este momento, lo invitamos a ver la presentación grabada en nuestra asamblea del lunes por la mañana el 18 de octubre. Más información a seguir.
Como recordatorio, todos los estudiantes y el personal son evaluados por COVID cada semana los martes.
Padres, también nos gustaría pedirles a las familias que se abstengan de recoger a sus estudiantes de la escuela durante los últimos 30 minutos del día ya que esto es una interrupción de la clase ya que el maestro debe detener la instrucción para que los estudiantes se vayan a casa.

As a reminder to our 5th grade families, now is the time to apply to your middle school of choice. Please visit https://echoices.lausd.net to see your middle school options. Applications are due by November 12th. Reach out to the school if you have any questions or need assistance with your application.

This coming week is Spirit week! Show your school spirit by dressing up.
On Monday, come to school dressed for DIA DE LOS MUERTOS or rock your halloween costume again...
On Tuesday, cheer on your favorite sports team by wearing their colors or gear!
On Wednesday, wear the school colors of your choice and tell us where you are heading!
On Thursday, show off your unique style on FUNKY HAIR DAY!
On Friday, get comfy and cozy for PAJAMA DAY!
Friends of Saturn will be holding a T-shirt Sale on Monday morning beginning at 7:30 am if you would like to purchase a Saturn T-shirt. There will also be a Friends of Saturn Meeting at 8:30 am Tuesday, November 2nd.
All are invited to attend our monthly English Learner Advisory Council Meeting at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 4th.
